Juliane Köhler comes from Göttingen. She trained as an actor in Munich and New York.

We know her as one of the big stars of the Munich Residenztheater, but she also shaped the German cinema landscape with her many unforgettable roles. We remember her as Pünktchen’s busy mother in PÜNKTCHEN UND ANTON (1999), as the award-winning Aimée in AIMÉE & JAGUAR (1999), her leading role in Caroline Link’s multi-award-winning film NIRGENDWO IN AFRIKA (2001) and of course as Eva Braun in THE DOWNFALL (2004). In recent years she has taken on other roles in TWO LIFE (2012), Doris Dörries ALLES INCLUSIVE (2014), LAP PRAYERS (2014), with Justus von Dohnányi in THE DOG BURIED (2016), 2017 in ON THE OTHER SIDE THERE IS A LOT OF GRASS GRÜNER and this year in VIELMACHGLAS. In addition to various other TV roles, she is a permanent “Tatort” guest and has received several awards for her achievements for a reason.
