The Boulanger Trio has won the 2nd prize at the 4th Trondheim International Chamber Music Competition (no 1st prize was awarded). Among others, Menahem Pressler and Lambert Orkis were in the jury.

3rd August 2007

The performance of "Fremde Szene III" by Wolfgang Rihm in a portrait concert with the composer himself in the audience at the Hitzacker Festival was "so irresistible" (Die Welt), that the festival director spontaneously added the piece to the evening program. The concert was recorded by Deutschlandfunk and has been broadcast on August 3.

The concerts of the Boulanger Trio at the 5th Melbourne International Chamber Music Competition will be broadcast live on ABC Classic FM. The performances can be heard on www.abc.net.au/classic.
The Trio will play Beethoven and Rihm on July 7 around 4 am German time and Kagel und Brahms on July 10 around 7 am German time.

The Schleswig Holstein Festival has invited the Boulanger Trio to a masterclass with the Hungarian pianist Ferenc Rados. He has been on the faculty of the Franz Liszt Academy in Budapest until 1996, among his students are Andras Schiff and Zoltan Kocsis.

4th June 2007

This week the Boulanger Trio will go on tour in Romania. It will perform in Targu Mures, Sibiu and the Atheneum Bucarest. The concert in Bucarest will be recorded by National Radio.

The Boulanger Trio has been invited to the ECMA (European Chamber Music Academy) which was founded on the initiative of Hatto Beyerle, former member of the Alban Berg Quartet.

22nd March 2007

The Alfred Töpfer Foundation has invited the Boulanger Trio to stay at its guest house in Siggen for a week for the preparation of the Melbourne Competition. During their stay there will be a concert of the trio as well.

12th December 2006

The Boulanger Trio has been chosen to participate in the 5th Melbourne International Chamber Music Competition in July 2007. The competition is staged in Melbourne every four years for piano trios and string quartets and is one of the richest classical music competitions in the world. After two international preliminary rounds (DVD and live audition) the ensemble is one of worldwide eight who have been invited to Melbourne.

1st December

In January the Boulanger Trio will participate in a masterclass with the Kalichstein Laredo Robinson Trio at the Musikhochschule Hamburg.

5th November

At their concert in Bonn, the Boulanger Trio played works by Mozart, Ravel and Schubert to an enthusiastic audience:
"... The Boulanger Trio succeeded with an interpretation full of temperament and tension, virtuoso, rhythmically precise and rich in tone.... " (Generalanzeiger Bonn)

15th August

The Oscar and Vera Ritter Foundation is supporting the Boulanger Trio with a scholarship to cover the tuition of their chamber music studies. The trio will appear in their concert series at the Mozartsaal Hamburg in April 2007.

24th June

Since fall 2006 the Boulanger Trio is studying with Niklas Schmidt at the Musikhochschule Hamburg. Among others the two-year Master's program comprises a cd production.
